Telegraph Changing The World
The telegraph had a big impact in many aspects in life. Samuel's invention was a revolutionary one since it brought the telecommunications industry and brought the world together
Telecommunications
Society
The telegrapgh played a huge role in society. People now can send messages to a person far away within minutes. You can send a message from one side of the country to the other side. This was helpful for reporters and newspapers because when something happens, people can send a message to the newspapers and reports to other states and they can quickly process newspapers for the people to share. This was important since people can know what's going on around the world.
Now with the telegraph, people world gotten a little bit smaller. Before, people would recieve messages by letter that would be delivered on horse back or carriges. This process would take days or weeks for the letter to deilver depending on how far it needs to travel. With the telegraph, it isn't the same. A telegraph needs an operator to hook up the wire to the revciver so companies started a telecomunications busniess which became sucessful in the industrial revolution. Companies charges you depending on how far a message needs to be sent and they usally charge you 25 cents for a few miles.
Working Life
With all these companies making a profit off the telegraph, this means that it opens up many jobs for workers. First of all telegraphs messages are sent over wires so the government had to figure out how to setup a network of cables so all the states can communicate with each other. Also the operator behind the wires that connect the telegraph message that is being sent to the reciever is also another job that opened up.

There wasn't much negative impact on for the telegraph but there was one. The working coniditions back then in the industrial revolution was very harsh, especially for the workers that set up the telecommunications networks wires. These workers have to travel rough terrains and set up telepoles in harsh enviornment.
